Glass Weaving - Art Material

It is during their visit to the Ateliers de Paris (2016-2018) that Aurelia Leblanc and Lucile Viaud imagine the encounter between their subjects of choice. Aurélia Leblanc weaves exceptional yarns for haute couture, Lucile Viaud develops and manufactures her own recipes of natural glasses from resources to be valued locally (geoverry).

Glass weaving

Aurélia and Lucile create a handcrafted glass weaving that transitions from two-dimensional to three-dimensional forms. By manipulating variations of threads and integrating distinctive modules, the work examines a spectrum that spans transparency to opacity and flexibility to rigidity, thereby presenting a novel material language. Lauded by the Liliane Bettencourt Prize for the "Intelligence of the Hand".
