Manufacture of exceptional bespoke items
Cogitech is a French workshop for the manufacture of exceptional objects. For 25 years, the company has been supporting the worlds of luxury, art and architecture through a unique approach where the hand, matter and technology meet.
Designed as an ecosystem of "craft engineers", Cogitech develops a contemporary craft that combines the sensitivity of the gesture with the most advanced digital tools. Molding, machining, prototyping or finishing become expressions of the same know-how: that of transforming technical complexity into creative freedom.
Each project is born of a close dialogue between designers, artists, architects and artisans in order to give shape to tailor-made achievements, where innovation is at the service of the emotion, the demand and the beauty of materials.
Cogitech proposes a dialogue between geometric rigor and the organic flow of water.
How can this natural element alter or sculpt a defined structure?
How can we give materiality to an image and sensitivity to a digital file?
This methodology deploys a chain of transformation from the immaterial to the tangible, from digital language to the subtlety of gesture.
By exploiting the random nature of the algorithm, each experiment generates a unique work. What is initially only a digital simulation is transformed into a sculpture: an infinity of solutions materializes in images, then in 3D files, and finally becomes tangible objects.
The pieces presented are unique and bear witness to this transformation. Reworked by hand, Cogitech's artisans magnify the complexity of the forms with exceptional finishes. Each wave, each movement of the water is reappropriated by the hand of man, who emphasizes the object's dynamics by applying a deep chrome and a smoky varnish.
These four vases are examples of this artistic research, a reflection on the fusion between digital manufacturing and 21st-century craftsmanship.
"We renew our thanks for making this event a memorable, living, humane and forward-looking time."
