Cabinetmaker, straw marquetry artist, creator of exceptional furniture and objects
A trained cabinetmaker, Fanny-Laure founded the eponymous company fannylaure in 2013. She designs, develops and produces furniture and everyday objects. Her creations are a combination of craftsmanship and exploratory research, questioning materials, techniques and the resulting aesthetics.
Fannylaure merges artisanal techniques with industrial processes to produce laminated glass panels featuring straw marquetry. The glass is tempered and subsequently baked with the marquetry, thereby safeguarding it from discoloration, detachment, and wear, which paves the way for new applications, including outdoor use.
