Wash enamelled, wood burned shou sugi ban and wrought iron. It is with the desire to enhance the arts of fire that Studio Ler designed the Hono table, the first unique piece of a collection of eponymous furniture.
Habited to the projects on order, the workshop enamelling on lava sá amuses here at the autoedition to unveil for the first time this piece of furniture manifest telling the genesis of their material of preference: volcanic rock.
The enamellers, Lydia Belghitar and Jessica Richard, use different techniques and shades of dark, sometimes matte, sometimes brilliant, to evoke the volcanic eruptions from which the rock she is working.
Also mentioned are the casts of magma, its cooling until it becomes a hard stone whose enamelling allows to obtain unique patterns to the partitioned, specialty of Studio Ler.
