Cogitech explores the interplay between geometric precision and the organic flow of water.
How can this natural element alter or sculpt a defined structure?
How can we give material form to an image and bring sensitivity to a digital file?
This methodology employs a chain of transformations from the immaterial to the tangible, from digital language to the subtlety of gesture.
By harnessing the random nature of the algorithm, each experiment generates a unique work. What begins as a digital simulation is transformed into a sculpture: an infinite number of solutions materialise as images, then as 3D files, before finally becoming tangible objects. The pieces on display are unique and bear witness to this transformation.
Re-worked by hand, Cogitech's craftsmen enhance the complexity of the forms with exceptional finishes. Every wave, every movement of the water is reimagined by human hands, which emphasise the object's dynamism through the application of a deep chrome finish and a smoky varnish.
These four vases are examples of this artistic exploration, a reflection on the fusion of digital manufacturing and 21st-century craftsmanship.
